Blessed are the pure of heart,

for they shall see God.

Gospel of Matthew 5:3-10

LCGS Baptism

Baptisms

Baptism is the important beginning of a child’s faith journey and life in the Christian community. When families are planning to baptize a child, it is helpful if they are part of a congregation in which the parents and child will regularly participate. If you are searching for a church home for your family, we encourage you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings.

Baptisms can be scheduled for most Sundays at either the 8:00 or 10:30 a.m. service, except for Sundays in Lent. Please contact the church office to arrange a date. Pastor Ken will contact you to discuss what it means to have your child baptized, as well as the role that you and the church will have in honoring the promises made during baptism.

LCGS Weddings

Weddings

Planning your wedding is exciting! At LCGS, we are eager to assist you in making your wedding a grace-filled beginning to your life together in Christ. The ceremony is a sacred event where the bride and groom pledge themselves to one another in the presence of God and a worshiping community.

Couples who desire to be married at Good Shepherd should contact the church office to reserve a date, which will be confirmed only after speaking with Pastor Ken. Typically, couples planning to be married here are already a part of our faith community, however, non-members are invited, welcomed and encouraged to worship with us in order to better understand our faith and mission. With the exception of the season of Lent, weddings may be scheduled throughout the year with Saturday being the preferred day of the week.

LCGS Funerals

Funerals

Congregation members should contact the church office or Pastor Ken to make funeral or memorial service arrangements and may keep funeral plans on file with the church office after pre-planning with the Pastor.  Non-members who wish to discuss funeral or memorial service arrangements are encouraged to contact the church office to schedule a discussion with the Pastor.

The Good Shepherd Memorial Garden is available for the interment of ashes of all congregation  members and their immediate family members.   A fee is paid to either reserve a niche for interment or to purchase only a memorial plaque for display.  Contact the church office if you are interested in learning more about the Memorial Garden.
