LCGS welcomed Abby Glass to our staff in February 2022 in a joint position shared with St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Brevard. Abby moved from Chattanooga, TN by way of Springfield, OH where she graduated from Wittenberg University with degrees in Religion and Environmental Science. While in college, she worked in the campus chapel and volunteered with Lutheran and Episcopal youth groups. After graduation, she spent three months volunteering in Vicksburg, MS. Although Abby was raised in the Methodist tradition, her family has a long history of time spent in Montreat, where she also worked for the Presbyterian conference center for two summers. Abby says, “When I found this job description, I was excited for the chance to have a job that would allow me to work with the two denominations that were so impactful on my faith during college.” In her free time, Abby enjoys reading, playing board games, hiking and biking.
